About us
Kalcona is a company founded in 1994 by the Markovski family with 100% domestic capital. With the establishment of the company, we realized part of our dream: a place where we could create and grow, while also enabling the development of the entire Macedonian economy.
We are proud to say that we are pioneers of mushroom cultivation in Macedonia. Over the years, we expanded our production and increased our range of products. The first stage of our development was also marked by the export of frozen red peppers. In addition to champignons, we began processing and preserving other types of mushrooms such as oyster and shiitake. Shiitake mushrooms were introduced to the Balkans for the first time by our company. Our continuous presence in the market enabled us to build a new factory with the highest standards.
